About

At LOLAKO, our goal is to create signature denim pieces, from quality fabrics that last a lifetime and with comfort that will have you reaching for it through every season. We believe creating enduring garments that can only get better with time is essential to curbing the unnecessary waste and overconsumption in the fashion industry.

As a brand, we value our mother earth. This is why we directly implement sustainably-focused methods: such as limited runs, conserving and recycling water, using recycled materials whenever possible, and implementing advanced technology and machinery while keeping our hands-on approach at the forefront. We encourage our customers to keep their LOLAKO pieces forever, as they will only get better with time (just like our Lolas!). Learn more here.

THE DESIGN & PROCESS

While our designs are created in the beautiful mind of our co-founder, Jo Rivera, each piece of LOLAKO is handcrafted and perfected in small batches by a family-owned and run denim manufacturer in Medellin, Colombia. Our close relationship with our manufacturer allows our meticulous attention to detail to thrive. Our manufacturers share our sustainable and hands-on approach with their own practices, which ensures our commitment to our clothing’s longevity.

Our Founders

LOLAKO is a Filipino and women owned family business founded by a mother-daughter duo with the goal of preserving the crafts, fabrics and history passed down by generations of Lolas (“grandmothers” in Filipino). Learn more about Jo and her family here.
